Privacy Policy
Summary
P0STMORTEM is a content-publishing brand operated by Arik Nachmias. This website is a static informational page. We do not have user accounts. We do not run a database of visitors. We do not sell anything to you. The short version of this policy is: we collect almost nothing about you.
1. What we collect
From visitors to this website (p0stmortem.io):
- Standard server logs — when your browser requests a page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records the request URL, your IP address, your user-agent (browser type), and a timestamp. This is industry-standard and used only for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics. Cloudflare's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
- If you email us at [email protected], we receive whatever you put in the email. We use that only to reply.
From our internal publishing tooling (the "Postmortem" auto-publisher): The Postmortem auto-publisher is an internal tool used by Arik Nachmias to upload videos to the Postmortem brand's own social-media accounts. It is not offered to third parties. The OAuth tokens it uses (TikTok, YouTube) authorize access to a single brand account each — the Postmortem accounts — owned by Arik. No third-party user data is processed by this tool.
2. What we don't collect
- We do not run analytics scripts that fingerprint or track you across sites.
- We do not set marketing cookies on this site.
- We do not have a newsletter, sign-up form, comments section, or user account system.
- We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with any third party.
3. Cookies
This site itself does not set any cookies on your browser beyond what Cloudflare requires for security (such as bot-detection cookies). If you click an external link to TikTok, YouTube, or any other third-party site, that site may set its own cookies according to its own privacy policy. We do not control that.
4. Third-party services in our publishing pipeline
Our video-production pipeline uses commercial AI-as-a-service providers — currently fal.ai (video generation), ElevenLabs (text-to-speech), and OpenRouter (script generation). These services process our content (the cases and scripts we author), not your data. We share no visitor data with them.
5. Embedded content from social platforms
We may embed videos or buttons that link to our TikTok or YouTube accounts. Those platforms may set cookies, run analytics scripts, or collect data about you when you interact with the embedded content. Their data handling is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. Specifically:
6. Children
Postmortem content covers cybersecurity incidents and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please email [email protected] and we will delete it.
7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / general)
Even though we collect almost nothing, you have the following rights regarding any data we do hold (such as an email you sent us):
- Right to access — request a copy of any data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request a correction of any inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of any data we hold about you.
- Right to object — object to processing.
- Right to portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data retention
Cloudflare's standard server-log retention applies (typically a few weeks for security logs). Emails you send us are retained until they are no longer needed for the purpose you sent them. OAuth tokens for our publishing pipeline are retained for as long as the brand operates and deleted when the relevant social-platform integration is disconnected.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
